 LC300 - BSc (Hons) in Educational and Instructional Technologies [Top-Up]

This course is another pioneering one in the professional development of in-service educators targeting mainly primary school educators. It is a first in Mauritius delivered on a quasi-online mode of delivery that recognizes prior learning of educators. Educators with a Diploma in Education from the MIE or a Certificate with 10 years of teaching experience or with an alternative acceptable qualification can get entry into this innovative top-up degree programme.
 
It is offered online on a two-year part-time basis. The programme has been highly commended by the external examiners and is appreciated by most of those who embarked on this adventure. It is a ‘fast-track’ route to obtaining a formal degree qualification in the field of teaching and learning with technology for educators. It contains innovative modules dealing with contemporary issues such as copyright in the digital age, open educational resources, design and development of pedagogical websites and the integration of ICT in subject areas like language, arts, science and technology.

LC302 - Diploma/BSc (Hons) Web & Multimedia Development (3 years Full-Time)

This course offers web and multimedia development skills which are focused on internet technologies such as the design and implementation of web-based client/server systems. The course is designed to ensure that students possess a broad range of computing knowledge and skills, and it includes core modules in general software design and development, as well as in scripting technologies specific for web development.

BSc (Hons) [top-up] Management (with specialisation in Entrepreneurship/Human Resource Management)

The aim of this programme is to impart students with a broad knowledge of the different areas of management. Students will be prepared to develop skills in the application of management and entrepreneurship tools and techniques. Through the right mix of lectures, tutorials, case studies, role plays and simulations, they will develop the right attitudes to become effective managers in the workplace.

BSc (Hons) Banking and Financial Services (Part time)

This Programme is designed for those students seeking to work in the banking & financial services. In particular, this programme provides sound theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to face up to the challenges of a rapidly evolving banking and other financial sectors. In addition, it will provide a stepping stone to students who are interested in enrolling on professionally recognised qualifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme.
